I have a Microsoft Lumia 950 XL that recently started to malfunction. Device was never dropped or anything, I’m very careful with my electronics. Here is a video of the malfunction.
My best bet : Optical stabilizer is grinding.
As reference to those who have the same issue:
Case: Update to 11082 comes in, starts installing but hangs forever at xx% (for me it was 32%) Resource monitor shows that Modern Setup scans through every file on my system but never completes. (At least after 2 hours on my 100GB SSD […]
You all hopefully remember my flash based Decibels Calculator that the students at SAE use so often.
This morning I uploaded my first Windows 10 version of the Decibel Calculation Generator. The first one is for Windows 10 Mobile, Continuum, Windows 10 Desktop and (I cannot test it) XBOX ONE.
Install LDAP & Samba: This is the tricky part..
sudo apt-get install slapd ldap-utils libnss-ldapd libpam-ldapd samba smbldap-tools samba-doc
If you screwed up on the settings you can reconfigure LDAP by the following command:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure slapd
Set to : Omit OpenLDAP server configuration? … No DNS domain name: … audiodude.nl Name of your organization: […]
Part 4 – LDAP & SAMBALets set up DNS into our network. Be aware that at the end of this section you need to modify your router probably to disable the routers dns and dhcp settings. So that everything is coming from your own server.
It is actually easier to ssh into the server at […]
So lets start by setting up the network. Make sure you are root
sudo su sudo pico /etc/network/interfaces
Change so it reflects your network :

For a long time I’ve been wanting to start a series to show how to setup a Ubuntu server that has LDAP for user management (with a LAM backend) that basically will give users an apache page, disk space, sftp connection, and can authenticate them via radius for wifi and switch access. This setup is […]
To get Cisco EasyVPN working on Windows 10 x64 we need to do a bit of magic.
1. Install the Sonicwall 64-bit VPN client : (Enable DNE network client from Citrix) http://help.mysonicwall.com/applications/vpnclient/GVCSetup64_22.214.171.1242_EN.exe

So adding an email account in Outlook should be easy as pie right. Grrr.. NOT
I have a business account at MS for outlook and office, but I’m running this website on my own servers. So DNS needs to be setup by yourself. Now that is not too hard. MS basically provides the data themselves. […]

Solved most issues for me.
Apple in their infinite wisdom (or stupidity) has Trim disabled by default if you are not using an apple SSD.
The old method unfortunately no longer works reliably. I’ve started using the Trim Enabler app to get around the problem.
So to make sure that TRIM is working correctly you need to modify […]
Here are some pictures of an order of Philips HF Performers which have fabrication errors. 4 blew up after they were installed.
One day I was trying to create an image of a drive for deployment. The issue I ran into was that if I created the images, the device would not boot. My issues were in the fact that the deployment machines were first generation UEFI machines and because of that bootsect.exe /nt60 would not work. […]

This will remove al but the very last kernel since boot.
I’ve had this weird issue in both Windows 8 and Server 2012 Hyper-V. When creating a Virtual switch, the host OS would lose all network connection even though “Allow management operating system to share the network adapter” was enabled. I found a solution to my problem. […]
